Beast Friends Forever is an exhibition featuring work by Bruce Anderson, Joanne Bristol, Mackenzie Kelly-Frere, Jeff Meldrum, and Adrian Stimson, exploring the fluid and often ambiguous boundaries that shape interactions with other animals. The exhibition examines how connections—shaped by culture, consumption, mythology, and daily life—are both deeply meaningful and mutable, questioning the distinctions between human and animal. Works include heroic large-scale equine paintings evoking mythological power, a grey shaggy-pile cloak inspired by thousand-year-old Viking-Age textiles, sparse line drawings of urban environments, and art intended to attract and reward wildlife. An exhibition reception is scheduled for September 12, 2026.
