Silent Gathering: of Grief and Remembrance is a community-engaged project by Kyuubi Culture (Xiao Han and Qiming Sezava Sun) presented at the Art Gallery of Regina. The project investigates themes of memory, identity, and healing through intercultural dialogue focusing on diverse cultural perspectives on death and creation. Through workshops with cultural organizations and those in death-adjacent industries, the artists gather stories that inform their multidisciplinary works including costume, interpretive dance, photography, and sound. The initiative preserves intangible heritage by weaving together narratives surrounding death and creation, honouring various cultural traditions and creating a platform for storytelling.
