A community-engaged project by Kyuubi Culture (Xiao Han and Qiming Sezava Sun) to be presented at the Art Gallery of Regina. Silent Gathering investigates themes of memory, identity, and healing, fostering intercultural dialogue focusing on diverse cultural perspectives on death and creation. Through initial conversations and free workshops with cultural organizations and those in death-adjacent industries, the project gathers stories that inform the artists' multidisciplinary works spanning costume, interpretive dance, photography, and sound. This initiative preserves intangible heritage by weaving together often-overlooked narratives surrounding death and creation, creating a platform for storytelling that honours various traditions.
